The information structure of the site can be used to:

• Navigate the website– navigating a website means providing the user with the tools to reach the information he/she is looking for. Navigation can be context (left menu) or general– main menu, legal menu etc. The navigation is usually a subsection of the sitemap from which it results directly.
• Sitemap – the map of the website is the information structure displayed up to a certain level.
• Path – the path is a contextual element of the navigation and is a sequential list of all parents of the current section. Take the structure above for example, the path to the section Website 1 is: Home > About Us > Products > Websites > Website 1
