Elements organizes the objects into modules. The modules are groups of independent objects, which have a common goal (e.g. Sales, Supply, Warehousing etc.). All the actions and templates that each object possesses are registered. Each object holds standard actions and templates: Overview, List, Entry form, Editing form, Deletion, Printing. Once an object is created, each of these standard actions or templates can be excluded. The objects also have additional standard functionalities – New from current (allows one to create a new record with default values originating from the properties of the selected record) and View – which is a form of editing in the so-called View Mode – this is an operational mode which does not allow the editing of properties of an object. Other than prohibiting editing, this mode can also be used for fast viewing due to its purely textual nature (showing limited interface controls when the values of the properties are displayed).

The developer can easily register additional actions and can define if to use a client-driven script or if Elements will have to call a new form or a list to the object. The registered actions are used to specify access rights for the users of the application.
